Does regular exercise necessarily mean that, you have an adequate physical condition?

058

Regular physical activity or exercise, does not always mean a good physical condition!

Physical condition, with regard to the heart, is an objective parameter, as is cholesterol, glucose or blood pressure.

Many people say they have a good or acceptable diet, but this does not mean your blood cholesterol levels are good. To find out, you should do a blood test, which gives us a specific figure, and then we can check to establish knowing whether we are at the right level, above or below.

The same goes for physical activity or exercise. To go walking once in a while or go to the gym several times a week, does not necessarily mean you have an adequate physical condition. To find out, you should do a stress test, which will quantify you fitness level, showing exactly your physical condition.

These figures are classified into levels, just like cholesterol or blood pressure levels and are linked to possible future heart problems and/or premature mortality.
To find out which numbers are used to measure the physical condition, read the article "Which figures are used to measure physical condition?"
